The Rage Cell increases your damage when at low health, and the Wild Frenzy Cell increases your attack speed when at low health. It also includes the Berserker Cell, which lowers your max HP in exchange for more damage. Now 21k is the highest part damage ive done so far and most of my regular level 4 determination throws average about 10k in most hunts with this build but im sure with tonics and pylons it could get even higher but if youre after gems and if youre like me and just find it satisfying to break parts then well here you go. This build features the Discipline perk, which cuts your max HP to 50 in return for a 2.5-15 extra critical strike chance. It also helps to do all this right as you dodge a attack to get the added damage from sharpeneds added ability. To even have a chance to get a really high damage output from your level 4 axe throw you want to make sure the unique effect from the koshai axe is active alongside predator and rage also being active which makes ice borne nice to have since you have to usually be half health to get everything to be active at the same time and with the drask eye instant popped right before you throw it. You dont have to use energized I only use it as a test but conduit works good as well. The Koshai axe is for sharpened which adds to the damage. While combos based on LC attacks will move you slightly forward with your swings, their utility is dishing out damage once you’re in the right position. Attacks and charged attacks mapped to LC now deal out damage from a stationary stance. Now the key to this build is to have your determination to level 4 with meter fully charged from the Overcharged Cyclinder mod. This axe update will introduce a more nuanced and versatile approach to these controls. I'd argue not building Predator since you can get some decent work off if you can utilize Resolve (which doesn't actually protect you from the damage, so Pred deactivates if you do get hit even with Resolve). This is my part damage axe build that i showcased in my video that i did 21k damge withĪnd for video of said damage I'll link the original post: And it's always fun (and incredibly safe and effective) to heal basically to half in one Grim Onslaught throw if you do find yourself in a bit of a pickle.ĭON'T build Berserker since you have an extremely slow attack progression. There are six weapons to master in Dauntless, and each one brings its own unique strengths and weaknesses to a hunt. Iceborne is really nice if you can get Resolve down, since you can get chunked for a decent amount of health, not get staggered, and immediately follow up with a massive heal. Dauntless: Axe Build for High DPS By William Parks Published This Dauntless Axe build focuses on damage, attack speed, and Grim Onslaught, giving Slayers access to high DPS and ranged interrupts for their hunts. Basically just do what you would with every other weapon and pump (general) damage and attack speed. Definitely go attack speed ( Conduit with Embermane Lantern, maybe Evasive Fury or Wild Frenzy). Really decent for Escalation in particular, but can be nice just to turn off your mind in patrols.Īs for general purpose cells, Axe can do massive work with part-breaking and staggering due to the sheer amount of power in each swing, so Overpower is nice to augment that. Plus you have a neat and aesthetically pleasing distribution of perks (all +6's except for one +3 Discipline). Not the best for potential DPS, not the most skillful loadout, but it does some decent work, and you don't really need to put too much mind power into running it, since Skullforge basically gives infinite stamina, and Iceborne basically gives infinite health.
